This recent photo shows me and my husband, Richard Redalia, at Muir Woods, on a visit  there with relatives who were visiting here from New York.

Prior to moving to Sonoma County I worked as a school psychologist in Lincoln Unified in San Joaquin County for 14 years, and before that I was immersed for 6 years in grad school at UC. Berkeley, earning my BA, MA and PhD there. 

I was employed in Santa Rosa City Schools as a school psychologist from 2000 to 2009, serving a wide variety of schools, but most recently Cook Middle School and  Monroe Elementary, as a half-time assignment. I also completed bilingual assignments of Spanish-dominant students, as an additional part-time responsibility for the district, where-ever needed. Bilingual assessment of Spanish dominant students is my first love. Prior to accepting a half-time position in Santa Rosa I completed bilingual assessments as an LEP in many of the smaller districts throughout Sonoma County, including Guerneville, Roseland, and West Sonoma County, down to Waugh and Cinnabar in Petaluma. Because I had previously retired and was only employed half-time, I had no job security in Santa Rosa, and was terminated there in June of 2009.

I have had my PPS credential for 14 years.  The most challenging case was presented in year one and two when I went to Fair Hearing twice!  I survived that and I am still here and learning every day.  I love working for the SELPA.  My job assignment has grown each year so there is variability with the districts I serve.  I have served as SCASP president and am the current SCASP secretary.  I was the Region 1 representative to CASP for 4 years (2005-09) and am currently on the CASP Board as the Awards Chair.

I love Festivals! Music festivals, wine and food festivals, and art festivals.  Sonoma County is the best place for all of these.
